RealEstateLawDocs.com was created by Steve Lukemeyer, an Indiana attorney, and principal of Lukemeyer Law Office, P.C. Steve focuses his practice primarily in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, estate planning and administration, and business law.
Prior to opening Lukemeyer Law Office, P.C., Steve spent nearly five years as staff counsel for one of the largest independent title insurance agencies in Indiana, where he provided legal support to approximately 250 employees across 30 offices statewide. In addition to providing legal counsel on all functions internally, he advised realtors, mortgage brokers, and lenders in real estate matters. He also oversaw the commercial title and escrow operations in the Indianapolis market. In working with both residential and commercial operations extensively, Steve developed a strong working knowledge of the real estate industry. He has closed real estate transactions of all types and sizes, and has assisted countless customers on title and escrow related questions, helping them clear title, resolve conflicts, and ultimately close transactions.
Prior to entering the title industry, Steve gained experience in private practice as an associate in the Real Estate and Business Services practice groups for an Indiana law firm, and also served as staff counsel for a nationwide life insurance company based in Indianapolis.
Steve received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University, Bloomington, and received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. He is admitted to the Indiana State Bar, and is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, Dubois County Bar Association, and Indiana Land Title Association.
